Below are a selection of optional activities and tours that participants are able to book for through Amaco Small Group Tours. They do not conflict with any of the conference sessions or included social activities. Please note that numbers on some tours are limited and will be allocated in the order the completed Optional Tour Booking forms are received into our office.

Broome Sightseeing Tour

$80 per adult (Afternoon Monday or Tuesday)

This multi award-winning Broome sightseeing tour provides a perfect overview for first time visitors to Broome. Enjoy a professional and entertaining introduction into ‘Broome Time’ with experienced local guides from the comfort of an air-conditioned coach. Their local knowledge will enhance your discovery of Broome’s natural, historical and cultural highlights. This all inclusive Broome sightseeing tour provides hotel pick up and drop off, as well as the Pearling Masters High Tea experience at Pearl Luggers. Duration 2.5 hours.

Broom Sunset Camel Tour

$90 per adult (Sunset Monday or Wednesday)

Enjoy an unforgettable experience with Broome’s most loved camels – the Camels in Blue!  Meet Alison Bird – Broome’s most respected and experienced camel operator, with over 30 years experience working with these often misunderstood animals. Alison has caught camels, trained camels, brought up orphaned calves and been involved in camel export. Enjoy a Sunset Tour along the iconic Cable Beach as Alison and her team will ensure your experience is safe, educational and most of all, enjoyable! Note that a weight limit of 90kg per person applies. Duration 2 hours.

Willie Creek Pearl Farm Tour

$105 per adult (Afternoon Tuesday or Thursday)

Discover how the rare and beautiful Australian South Sea Cultured Pearl is produced at the Willie Creek Pearl Farm. Their knowledgeable guides will reveal the intricate processes of Broome’s modern cultured pearl industry – from the seeding of an oyster to the harvesting and grading of a pearl, right through to the final stunning product on display in the showroom. Tour includes all transfers, boat cruise at Pearl Farm, jewellery shworoom time and refreshments. Duration 4 hours.

Sunset Hovercraft Tour

$185 per adult (Afternoon Monday and Friday)

Broome’s dramatic tidal phenomenon provides the most tranquil and romantic backdrop to unwind, relax and explore. Broome Hovercraft will transport guests across the tidal floor to see dinosaur footprints in old petrified forrest on the other side of Roebuck bay.  Gliding along the tidal edge take in the view as Pelicans, Egrets, Osprey and Sea Eagle pass by, whilst marvelling at the dramatic red rich Pindan cliff backdrop as you land on a secluded patch of pristine coastline.  As the tide continues to fall you then head off into the Bay, settle down on the sandy sea floor and let your pilots look after you with sparkling wine and hors d’oeuvres as the sun finally sets silhouetting the Broome Peninsula whilst glistening off ripples in the tidal floor. Duration 2 hours.

Pearl Luggers Tour

$25 per adult (Afternoon Tuesday)

It is often said that Broome’s pearling industry is as rich in culture as it is in pearls. Join this tour as it reveals the impact pearling has had upon Northern Australia and how the melting pot of cultures enticed by the lure of the pearl influenced Broome. Surround yourself by a vast collection of original diving artifacts in in the Pearl Luggers Museum then at your leisure view an exquisite selection of Broome pearl jewellery featuring the Australian South Sea Keshi Pearl in the Pearl Luggers jewellery showroom. Duration 1 hour.

Horizontal Falls & Cygney Bay Pearl Farm Tour

$895 per adult (Full day Wednesday)

Limited to just 12 people, this luxury tour begins when you climb aboard the custom built 4×4 for the drive north along the Dampier Peninsular. Enjoy a tea or coffee at your first stop, the famous pearl shell church at Beagle Bay before continuing to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm where you will be treated to breakfast and the fascinating history behind Australia’s first pearl farm. After breakfast, ready your cameras as you board a luxury 14 seat turbo prop jet seaplane for some low level scenic flighing across the amazing thousand island Buccaneer Archipelago before landing onto the calm waters of Talbot Bay. A fresh BBQ Barramundi lunch will be served and then it’s time to get the heart rate up again, with a ride through the Horizontal Falls before you sit back and relax as you cruise through the spectacular untouched surrounding bays and creeks. Fly direct back to Broome with an aerial view of Cable Beach and Broome Township prior to landing. Duration 10.5 hours.

Cape Leveque Adventure Tour

$269 per adult (Full Day Wednesday)

The Dampier Peninsula is a delight for travellers seeking a real Kimberley experience. Journey up the Cape Leveque Road stopping for morning tea in the Beagle Bay Aboriginal Community, home to the Sacred Heart Church and its glimmering pearl shell altar. Then travel north to the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm – the only working pearl farm open to the public. In the One Arm Point Aboriginal Community we tour a local aquaculture hatchery perched right on the tip of One Arm Point and enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the impressive Buccaneer Archipelago, witnessing the huge tidal flows of the Kimberley – the largest in the southern hemisphere! Returning south we discover Cape Leveque (locally known as Kooljaman). Enjoy time to relax on the pristine beaches and spectacular coastline the cape is renowned for.  Returnto Broome at 7pm. Duration 12 hours.
